Mirline Milien, OTR/L, CSRS, BCPR, is a Research Health Outcomes Scientist in the Patient-Centered Outcomes Assessment group with RTI-HS. To learn more about the patient experience in her clinical practice, Ms. Milien lead and participated in the design and implementation of qualitative research. Specifically, Ms. Milien has experience in protocol development, the conduct of qualitative interviews across a range of therapeutic areas and ages, participant recruitment, data analysis, and development of institutional review board documents. Ms. Milien joined RTI-HS after several years of working as an occupational therapist treating adults with various neurological conditions (i.e., cerebral vascular accident, traumatic brain injury, Parkinson’s disease). While working as an occupational therapist, she completed research on patient experience in inpatient rehabilitation. In her current role at RTI-HS, Ms. Milien brings her experience as a clinician, qualitative research experience, and understanding of the human experience in healthcare.
