Taylor N. Tibbs, PhD, is a Medical Writer in the Medical Writing, Editing, and Design Services (MEDS) group with RTI-HS. Dr. Tibbs collaborates with researchers across therapeutic fields to plan and develop publications highlighting their work. Key research fields and therapeutic areas include microbiology, immunology, infection biology, gastroenterology, and genetics.

Prior to joining RTI-HS, Dr. Tibbs conducted research on the genetic and immunological influences in infectious disease outcomes at the University of North Carolina (UNC) at Chapel Hill. She also served various roles in science communication communities, including leading and managing her local chapter of the international conference ComSciCon, interning and writing for the Science Communicators of North Carolina (SCONC), and interning for a medical communications agency. Dr. Tibbs has collaborated with numerous research groups, resulting in peer-reviewed journal articles and award-winning presentations at professional conferences. She has written for Nature Careers, American Scientist, Natural History Magazine, and multiple science blogs. Dr. Tibbs has experience in original scientific illustration, has taught lectures, and cofounded an organization that enhanced mentoring and collaboration in the biomedical sciences.
